We have all been there. We've bought braided loops, inserted the tips of our shooting heads into the rear end of these loops, tied the leader in the other end and used a lot of instant glue to make sure everything holds together if and when the big one takes the fly.
This transition between shooting head and leader becomes far too heavy and makes casting unnecessarily difficult. Other shooting heads are equipped with ready made loops the size of hula hoops, resulting in the same lack of smooth transition between shooting head and leader.
If you didn't already know, there has been an incredible alternative on the market for more than a year. Zpey shooting heads, coated shooting lines and poly leaders are equipped with incredibly small, light and flexible loops.
